Newcastle Helix is here to help us all live better lives. Easier, healthier, smarter and longer.

The Helix is Newcastle’s flagship development and is the only city centre quarter of its kind in the UK. Hundreds of researchers, businesses and progressive homeowners living and working side-by-side, along with great food, drink and entertainment venues and three beautiful new public spaces.

But it’s so much more than a collection of cutting-edge buildings. It’s a 24-acre testbed and collaborative ecosystem for public and private bodies that’s unlike anything else in the UK.

A long-term partnership between Newcastle City Council and Newcastle University, the Helix secured one of the biggest deals seen in the city when the partnership secured Legal & General Capital as a long-term investment partner in June 2016.

Legal & General have initially invested £65m, which will accelerate completion of two further buildings offering 20,000m2 of Grade A office space, expected to create around 2,000 jobs, and will help unlock further investment in commercial and residential plots.
