Adastral Park Logos

Adastral Park is home to BT Labs - BT's Global Research and Development Headquarters - and Innovation Martlesham – an established cluster of over 80 high-tech ICT companies  and a thriving hub of like-minded individuals sharing knowledge and expertise.  The Park is one of the world’s most famous telecoms and computing addresses, with a campus that covers 100 acres.

Adastral Park ImageAdastral Park was previously home to the RAF’s Royal Flying Corps Experimental Station and the Aeroplane and Armament Experimental Establishment. Martlesham Heath soon became world renowned for testing both military and civilian aeroplanes.

So with its well established links to innovation, it was fitting that BT relocated its main research centre to Martlesham from Dollis Hill in London in 1969.

From pioneering work in optical technologies and digital switching through to work in advanced software techniques and protocols, Adastral Park is recognised as one of the leading centres of technical innovation in the communication world and one of the largest ICT research and development Facilities in the world.
